Pedestrians Crossing Comfort Analysis for a Footbridge Over Someş River

Abstract Due to the relatively low rigidities in vertical and horizontal planes, structures of footbridges must be checked from point view their dynamic behavior, so as avoid resonance phenomenon ensure walking comfort pedestrians. The paper presents some aspects related behaviour, for pedestrian bridge with a span 31.5 m that was constructed Railway Park area Cluj-Napoca city, over Someşul Mic River, 2022. In terms traffic density, structure falls into Category III: Footbridges normal use occasionally crossed by large groups After finalization project Revitalization Activation park will include two walkways similar superstructure, which crosses Someș but vicinity road 4 lanes sidewalks also built during this period. Given possibility changing density future, footbridge analysed higher conditions, there is no need carry out structural intervention works near except known maintenance works.
